2 visits for a hard lump. No testing done either time. Lump grows like wild fire and in 2 weeks time is 3 times the initial size. Now the size of a basketball. Dog can hardly get up..only 8 years old. Dr. Bruns has been our vet for 25 years but his new vet tech lady was heartless over the phone when I asked what the risKS were with something like that growing on his spine. I dont know why the vet chose not to do anything, other than pills for inflammation. Nothing. Was told there's risks of dying everyday with everything, not just my dog said his vet tech lady on a power trip of some sort. Could have cared less of my worries. .. something didn't feel right about this mass, so I searched for a second opinion. Another vet looked at xray and said it is not a calcium deposit like Bruns told us also said he has bad arthritus in his spine. First id been told that. It was a tissue mass and it has spread and enveloped now my dogs shoulder, rib cage and spine. 2ND vet did a fine needle aspiration and results came back possibly cancer. And it just.keeps. growing! 2nd vet initially was going to try and remove the mass but it had gotten too big and spread out over about 50% of his back, shoulder and ribs and The time to have done something other than give pills has passed. The time to do a biopsy or needle sample the first 2 visits, passed. My kids are devastated as am I that our once rambunctious Lab has lost his love of frisbees, of playing fetch and being himself. We don't know how long he has. But we are trying to keep him comfortable until God takes him home. I will never forgive or forget this huge misdiagnosis. The time to remove the mass was when it was small. Now he lives on pain pills and an herbal suppliment for cancer patients I did some research on. So very heart broken Dr. Bruns. What happened? :-( I'd post pictures of my Bo and the hump but no place to attach on here.
WONDERFUL!!! MY DOG had piametra and had to have life saving surgery. I called a dozen vet's and got quotes if $800 to $3500. They did it for $250. They took great care of her and now I'll have plenty of time left with my dog. I even had to drive 2 hours there. 4 round trip. Well worth it and will go there from now on!
Best vet I've ever been too. Especially love the way they treat our dog and for the best price they can afford no matter what the case may be. They are there for the animals first and foremost!!
I couldn't ask for better care for my pets. The staff is wonderful, the hours are convenient, the prices are reasonable, and they also sell a variety of pet products on site. They have an on call line for after hour emergencies and both vets are caring and knowledgeable.
